"When you become aware and feel , you can learn and change. We are so locked up in our busy minds sometimes that we miss information and cues from our body which can be the key to unlocking potential. Experiential learning is so powerful. It is my role to lead my clients to that awareness."
Linda qualified in 2008 with CYQ Level 3 Certificate in Teaching Yoga and completed her first training in BeActivated with Douglas Heel in 2014. Since then she continues to update and refresh her training in yoga and muscle activation and associated areas of interest.
Alongside her regular group classes and one to one work, Linda provides monthly group sessions for Different Strokes Northampton, a charity supporting stroke survivors and their carers and has done chair yoga sessions for Carers in Bedfordshire, for Living Well Occupational Therapy CIC and for the Brewin's Stroke Group. "My clients who are living with the effects of stroke or Parkinson's or managing other long-term conditions have the same need as everyone to maximise their potential for "right movement and right breath". There is real joy in guiding them through techniques which empower them to discover that potential for themselves. "
Linda has also worked alongside psychotherapist Roshmi Lovatt to provide Resilience workshops for staff working in frontline caring professions such as youth offending services, education and a charity supporting young adults leaving the care system. The combined skills of Linda and Roshmi provide a unique toolkit for creating imaginative and practical ways to help the carers care for themselves.
Linda has also provided Wellbeing and Resilience workshops for Roshmi's team of therapists at her therapy practice, Bodhispace.
